Job Key No 39830 Job Title/ Category Contract Senior IT Assistant (Bid Ref 60299-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 14 Jul 2026 Contract Period 01 Sep 2026 to 31 Jan 2027 (5 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Admiralty Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) - Administration and maintenance support of Enterprise Virtualization Infrastructure and mission-critical mid-range system of Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF; - To support existing server virtualization platforms and servers which includes installation, configuration, operation, administration, monitoring and maintaining of both the hardware and software; - To provide 1st tier support on mission-critical mid-range systems on a roster basis if necessary; - To provide ad-hoc support and/or fire fighting for above systems; - To provide project post-implementation works; - To perform regular patching for the above systems during non-office hours; - To handle administration works such as documentation, equipment procurement, cabling, labelling, system heath checking, hardware/software maintenance, inventory updating and bill payment; - To provide other services when required. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 9.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 5.0 Requirements - Solid knowledge and experiences in implementation of Linux/Windows and VMware vSphere/CNware WinStack; - Experience in supporting SAN and virtualization & backup solution are an advantage; - Experience in supporting SNMP monitoring and management solution are an advantage; - Good command of both written and spoken English are required; - Overtime work, irregular hours work and work on Sat/Sun are required when necessary; - Work in various location of HKPF is required; (Security vetting is required before candidate reports for duty) Technical Skills: . At least 5 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 4.5 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT); . At least 3 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12); . At least 2.5 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN); . At least 2.5 years' experience in Red Hat Advanced Server (RHS). Non-technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 4 years' experience in IT procurement (PRO); . At least 2.5 years' experience in IT Service Management (SMG). - At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent; - At least 9 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 5 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
