Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF; - Map System Development: Independently design and implement interactive web-based GIS applications. - 3D Visualization: Develop 3D geospatial apps leveraging Cesium's 3D Tiles and high-resolution terrain data. - Modern UI Implementation: Build responsive frontends using modern frameworks from concept through deployment. - Process Automation: Write and maintain scripts to automate geo-processing, data migration, and spatial analysis workflows. - Map Data Maintenance: Retrieve, process and update map data from time to time. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements Technical Requirements: - Core GIS Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with the Esri ecosystem, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. - 3D Geospatial Skills: Demonstrable experience with CesiumJS for high-performance 3D globes and WebGL-based visualizations. - Frontend Development: Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with experience in modern CSS and responsive design (e.g., React / Vue). Experience in mobile - Scripting & Backend: Proficiency in Python (Eg. ArcPy) for GIS automation and solid understanding of SQL/Spatial SQL. Experience in Java/Linux development environment is a plus. - Development Tools: Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), and containerization (Docker). Soft Skills & Attributes: - Self-Starter & Independent: Ability to work proactively, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. - Analytical Problem Solver: Skilled at resolving complex engineering issues, and boosting application speed through algorithmic optimization, architectural tuning, and the implementation of concurrency models. - Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and implement geospatial technologies. - Strong Communication: Ability to clearly articulate technical spatial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, GIS, or a related technical discipline. Security vetting is required. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Geographic Information System (GIS); . At least 2 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP); . At least 1 year's experience in Web Programming (WEB); . At least 1 year's experience in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI); . 6 months' experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in JBoss Application Server (JAS) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage. Non-technical Skill: . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
