Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) The project involves hands-on, on-site monitoring of core data centre systems, incident handling, and the supervision of external vendors. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF; The standard working hours are 44 hours per week (five working days at 8.8 hours per day, inclusive of a one-hour daily meal break). The core daily shift runs from 08:57 to 17:45, subject to operational adjustments. The appointees will be required to work on weekdays, Saturdays, and public holidays, with Sundays excluded. Additionally, appointees must maintain a high degree of flexibility to accommodate occasional working hour adjustments during critical system maintenance windows or unforeseen operational emergencies. The appointees are required to: - Conduct regular site patrols and maintain continuous monitoring of the security and alarm status of the data centre infrastructure, including IT server racks, network status, and environmental facilities; - Escort, supervise, and coordinate with external vendors performing hardware installations, cabling, system support, or facility maintenance on-site, ensuring strict adherence to data centre security protocols; - Serve as the first line of response for system alerts or facility abnormalities, actively initiating troubleshooting protocols, executing emergency standard operating procedures (SOPs), and promptly escalating critical incidents to management; - Maintain and track accurate operational logs, inventory records, and data centre access logs; and - Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 0.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 2.0 Requirements - Good interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Putonghua; - Proficiency in troubleshooting IT systems, including Windows and Linux environments, with basic knowledge of networking; - Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors; - Detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently during shift duties; - Demonstrated ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively under pressure; - Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in data centre operations, or familiarity with structured cabling standards; and - The successful candidates will be required to undergo and pass security vetting conducted by HKPF. Technical Skills: . At least 6 months' experience in IT Security (ITS); . 6 months' experience in Security Incident Detection and Handling (SDH) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 6 months' experience in vendor management (VMG); . 6 months' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in shift work (SFT) is an advantage. - At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent; - At least 2 years'relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
