IAS is provided for Government users (more than 50,000 users from 65 bureaux/departments) connecting to the Internet for web browsing, online transaction and other information exchange due to operation needs. It is an Internet connection service through an infrastructure of various network equipment like Internet proxy servers, load balancers, traffic management devices and security appliances to facilitate Government users accessing the Internet easily via departmental network and the Government Backbone Network (GNET). Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO; 1. To provide technical support for the daily operation of IAS and assist in the service administration of IAS including incident and problem handling, system resilience tests, performance monitoring and system management on network traffic management devices, network firewalls, Internet proxy servers, routers, network switches and load balancers. 2. To perform system enhancements, apply system patches and fixes, trouble-shoot network or system problems and monitor the performance and healthiness of the service in order to maintain high service availability. 3. To conduct market research and evaluate technical solutions for long-term provision of IAS, conduct proof-of-concept testing and then implement the selected solutions. 4. The staff may also be required to work in non-office hours occasionally during system maintenance, system enhancements and fire-fighting incidents. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements 1. The candidate should have solid experience on management, configuration and troubleshooting of network and server system in Internet access related environment, especially on Internet proxy servers, Internet security appliances, network devices, load balancers, DNS resolver and Linux system administration. 2. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and/or support of HKSARG network infrastructure is an added advantage. Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Checkpoint Firewall Administration (CFA); . At least 3 years' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW); . At least 3 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN); . At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . At least 3 years' experience in Proxy Server (PRS). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
