Job Key No 39431 Job Title/ Category Contract Systems Analyst (Bid Ref 59906-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Application Development Nature Contract Deadline 04 Jun 2026 Contract Period 15 Jun 2026 to 30 Nov 2026 (5 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Kwun Tong Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) To support the operations, maintenance, and technology refresh of a mission-critical IT system built on Java EE and Oracle RDBMS technologies Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the REO; - To perform Linux OS maintenance, including OS upgrade, patching, Security Auditing, Log Management, Resource Usage Monitoring (CPU, memory, Disk I/O and etc.), Backup and Recovery drills; - To perform system infrastructure maintenance and operation, including physical host operations, conduct on-site support with vendors at the Data Center, oversee server health monitoring, hardware maintenance, and hardware-level troubleshooting; - To perform database administration tasks, including routine maintenance, Patching, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle RDBMS; - To update system documentations and perform regular review of system logs for troubleshooting; - Participate in project system design life cycle (SDLC) (i.e. systems analysis & design, system implementation, vendor monitoring, IT security risk assessment & audit, system maintenance & support, end-user IT support, progress reporting, etc.); - Participate in IT security risk assessment & audit (e.g. PIA, SRAA, Red Team Assessments), resolve the follow-up issues and provide evidence, configuration changes, and technical justification; - Liaise with different parties including end users, contractors, stakeholders, etc. to support new deployments and migrations; - Willing to work overtime in some occasions; - Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese; - Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisors. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 4.0 Requirements - Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline; - Minimum 6 years post-qualification IT experience with at least 4 years of experience in similar capacity; - Able to work independently and shall possess proactive manner, strong analytical, system design, programming, testing and troubleshooting skills; - Hands-on experience in Java EE (including EJB, Servlets and etc.), frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and backend with a modern JavaScript framework (React/Angular/Vue) and RESTful APIs; - Solid knowledge of CORS, CSP headers, and JWT token handling in Web Security Domain; - Solid experience in Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS), including VPN, GSLB, WAF, CDN and Virtual Waiting Room; - Solid experience in J2EE and Tomcat, including Java Thread Life Cycle, Java Concurrency, JVM heap tuning, Thread Pool Management, Garbage Collection Tuning, Resource Management, Memory Leak Diagnosis; - Solid experience in XML, JSON, RESTful, SOAP, HTTP methods, Metadata objects and API Security; - Solid experience in Oracle RDBMS administration (including Oracle Scheduler configuration, performance tuning, SQL statement optimization, PL/SQL stored procedures, SQL exception handling, Schema design with tablespace, index, primary key, foreign key, data type, data size and permission, Data Sizing projection estimation, inter databases link script, database synchronization, backup/recovery and etc.); - Solid experience in Linux OS Maintenance, including shell script programming, network configuration, HTTP Web Server configuration, Tomcat application configuration, Oracle Database configuration, NTP Synchronization, File System configuration, File Transfer Protocol, Hardening, Remote Logging, Data encryption, Log monitoring for Security issues, error troubleshooting; - Solid experience in On-site support and Data Center Operations, including prepare Rack layout and Cabling management, Server Start/Stop procedures, Server monitoring with iLO/ SNMP, RAID configuration and controller logs analysis for disk failure, hardware performance tuning, Backup and Recovery procedures, analyze server log/ application log/ database log for troubleshooting; - Solid knowledge in Python script, including Connection Pool to Database, Data Analysis and Reporting, Alert Email scripting, Stored Procedure Integration, Performance Monitoring and logging, API testing and validation; - Solid experience in performing comprehensive testing, e.g. Unit Test, API & Integration Tests, Regression Test, Functional Test, Load Test, Stress Test, User Acceptance Test, Penetration Test, SQL Injection Test, Resilience Test, Disaster Recovery Test; - Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills; - Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese. - For other requirements, please refer to the technical and non-technical requirements. Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in EGIS (EGI); . At least 4 years' experience in Electronic Service Delivery (ESD); . At least 4 years' experience in IT Security (ITS); . At least 4 years' experience in J2EE Development (JDE); . At least 4 years' experience in Java Servlet Programming (JSP); . At least 4 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN); . At least 4 years' experience in Oracle RDBMS (ODB); . 4 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL) is an advantage; . 4 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT) is an advantage; . 4 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage; . 4 years' experience in JBoss Application Server (JAS) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 4 years' experience in managing Government projects (MGP). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
