Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) To support the administration and development of the Departmental Network and IT Infrastructure of EEB(EB) and EPD including supporting daily operations and assisting in development and implementation of enhancement projects. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EPD; 1. To monitor systems, servers and network performance to ensure the Departmental network is running in a stable and secure status; 2. To configure and manage network routers, switches, and other networking equipment and its peripherals; 3. To carry out day-to-day LAN administration jobs and trouble shoot faulty or abnormal workstations; 4. To assist project team in implementing enhancement projects in IT services such as storage encryption, network access control, confidential email service, anti-virus software, endpoint solutions, email system migration and etc.; 5. To assist in recommendation and procurement of new network equipment for the Departmental network and IT infrastructure; 6. To interact and follow up with the vendors for maintenance including repairing faulty network equipment, updating necessary security patches, upgrading operation system of equipment, etc.; 7. To prepare or update project documents, operational procedures, network diagrams and technical specifications; 8. To assist in implementing ad hoc projects and handling escalated problems from front end helpdesks or users; 9. To supervise, co-ordinate and monitor the EPD centralized Helpdesk Team in providing daily support and troubleshooting on all technical problems from all users' devices such as PCs, notebooks, printers, scanners, video conferencing etc.; 10. To assist in maintaining the system inventory records of the Departmental Network and IT Infrastructure; and 11. To carry out any other duties as assigned by the senior officers. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 4.0 Requirements 1. Higher Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or Higher (or equivalent) 2. Recent IT working experience in Government Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . At least 3 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU); . At least 3 years' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN); . 2 years' experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . 2 years' experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
