The job duties include: - Take part in the project management and contractor management for GCIS - Support GCIS operation and assist in site preparation, the capacity planning and expansion of GCIS for networking and security equipment etc. - Support the implementation of GCIS and acceptance of the deliverables of the GCIS contractor including but not limited to storage area network (SAN), data encryption system, hardware security module (HSM), backup and database equipment, etc. - Coordinate with and oversee contractors to carry out various tests including installation tests, system tests, system integration tests, load tests, performance tests, resilience tests, etc. - Provide support in the day to day project administration and contract administration of GCIS - Manage the hardware and software inventory of GCIS for SAN switch, storage, Key Management System (KMS), backup, and database equipment - Prepare technical specification for equipment including tender such as SAN, KMS, HSM, backup and database devices Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements - Knowledge and experience in implementing cloud computing technologies including server virtualisation - Knowledge and experience in supporting large-scale IT infrastructure including SAN, KMS, HSM, backup and database devices - Knowledge and experience in implementing centralised system monitoring system, and/or centralised log management and analytics is an advantage - Knowledge and experience in writing technical specification - Strong analytical mind and problem solving techniques - Competent communication skills (both of verbal and writing) and interpersonal techniques - Experience in contract administration - May need to work in various data centres of the GCIS project during the testing and acceptance period. - Criminal record verification by the Hong Kong Police Force is required. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Storage Area Network (SAN); . At least 2 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT); . At least 2 years' experience in Data Encryption Technology (DET); . At least 2 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 2 years' experience in IT Security (ITS); . 1 year's experience in Networking (NET) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in site preparation (SPE); . At least 2 years' experience in tender preparation and administration (TPA); . At least 2 years' experience in vendor management (VMG); . At least 1 year's experience in contract administration (CON); . 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in customer service (CLS) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
