Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DEVB; - To administer the operation of all servers, desktop and notebook computers - To manage backup and recovery of systems - To liaise and co-ordinate with contractors to handle network, server or workstation failure - To support and administer Active Directory, network file and print services, Software Asset Management system - To support and administer a virtualization platform with server, storage and network virtualization - To perform project management of outsourced Information Technology projects - To be responsible for IT related procurement - To perform over-time work outside office hours or on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays occasionally - To carry out other IT project related tasks and IT system maintenance/support tasks as assigned by ITMU of DEVB(WB). Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 9.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 7.0 Requirements - Solid experience in providing system administration on office automation systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Outlook and network file and print systems - Solid experience in providing technical support on Microsoft Windows servers - Practical experience in VMware vSphere and vSAN desirable - Practical experience in Veeam Backup is desirable Technical Skills: . At least 7 years' experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA); . At least 7 years' experience in System Backup Operation (BKO); . At least 5 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT); . At least 4 years' experience in Storage Area Network (SAN). Non-technical Skills: . At least 5 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 5 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS); . At least 3 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD); . Good written English is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 9 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 7 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
