(T26) On-going support of virtualised infrastructure and management of IT systems under outsourced environment

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the IPD;
To provide on-going support for the virtualised infrastructure and support the management of IT systems of Intellectual Property Department including the artificial intelligence image comparison for trade marks system, and to provide 24 x 7 on-call support. Duties include but not limited to the following activities and responsibilities:
- To manage the outsourced contractors on the implementation and on-going maintenance services of IT systems;
- To assess the technical designs and IT solutions provided by the contractors to ensure that they meet the user requirements, contract requirements and comply with government standards;
- To review the project deliverables provided by the contractors;
- To provide technical advice on matters related to the IT solutions and on-going maintenance of IT systems; and
- To liaise and coordinate between users and contractors in performing implementation and maintenance activities.

| Requirements |
- Must have a minimum of 6 years IT experience with 4 years' experience in the capacity of System Analyst in system implementation and maintenance/support of large-scale IT projects;
- Must have at least 4 years' experience in infrastructure and system architecture design;
- Must have at least 4 years' experience in server virtualisation technologies;
- Must have at least 3 years' experience in IT security;
- Must have at least 3 years' experience in Linux system administration;
- Must have at least 3 years' experience in managing Government projects built on GCIS/EGIS.
- Desirable to have working experience in the implementation and/or support of network and system management; and
- Desirable to have working experience in managing virtual private network.
Remark
- Interview will be conducted in both Cantonese and English
Technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
. At least 4 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
. At least 3 years' experience in EGIS (EGI);
. At least 3 years' experience in IT Security (ITS);
. At least 3 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
. 1 year's experience in Network & System Management (NSM) is an advantage;
. 1 year's experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 3 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. At least 2 years' experience in vendor management (VMG).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
