| Project Nature |
(T26) Review, design and set-up of new infrastructure, research on new products, enhancement and maintenance of existing infrastructure.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EPD;
1. To assist in exploring, designing and setting up new infrastructure in view of users' requests and the technology trend;
2. To conduct research and evaluate the latest products, tools, and practices to recommend cost-effective solutions for enhancing the existing environments;
3. To assist in reviewing, devising and maintaining the infrastructure in compliance with the Government standards;
4. To provide support for system implementation and daily operation and perform system enhancement for existing applications;
5. To assist in application testing and to resolve problems encountered including bug fixing and hardware/software issues;
6. To configure network appliances and system servers, to apply software patches for operating systems and system software as well as to conduct system performance tuning;
7. To carry out follow-up actions for systems as recommended by the Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA);
8. To assist in compiling system documentations; and
9. To carry out any tasks as assigned by the team leader.

| Requirements |
1. Degree in Information Technology or related discipline;
2. In-depth knowledge and experience in system support;
3. In-depth knowledge and experience in system administration; and
4. Experience in VMWare, SAN storage and backup software.
Technical Skills:
. At least 6 years' experience in System Backup Operation (BKO);
. At least 6 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
. At least 6 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
. 1 year's experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12) is an advantage;
. 1 year's experience in Oracle RDBMS (ODB) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage;
. Good written English is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 4 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
