(T26) Implementation of IT Systems and providing technical support for major computer systems of the LR

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LR;
- To maintain reliable and effective services of a system infrastructure of Solaris & Windows servers, NetApp and StoreOnce storage;
- To administer a suite of system management software including Solaris Virtualization, VMware Sphere / ESXi Server, Veeam Backup and Veritas NetBackup;
- To monitor the health and performance of the system infrastructure and perform necessary tuning and troubleshooting;
- To perform capacity planning and disaster recovery drill of the system infrastructure;
- To maintain documentation of the infrastructure;
- To prepare operation procedures and support computer operators in daily IT operations;
- To manage vendor for IT service delivery; and
- To perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

| Requirements |
- Must have at least 5 years of VMWare support experience;
- Solid hands-on experience in Solaris, VMware, Windows system administration, Veeam Backup and Veritas NetBackup;
- Hands-on experience in administration of NetApp storage and StoreOnce storage;
- Good command of written English and Chinese;
- Experience in vendor management and site preparation; and
- Provide 7 x 24 on-call production system support.
- May have to work outside normal office hours to provide production support and maintenance services.
Technical Skills:
. At least 6 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
. At least 6 years' experience in UNIX System Administration (UNA);
. At least 6 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12).
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 4 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 4 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS);
. At least 4 years' experience in IT procurement (PRO);
. 6 months' experience in site preparation (SPE) is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 13 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 8 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
