This role is responsible for driving platform standardization, automation, and cloud-ready architectures, while ensuring operational stability, security compliance, and alignment with the Bank’s technology roadmap. The successful candidate will bridge legacy infrastructure operations and future-state platform transformation, ensuring that infrastructure platforms evolve to support business agility, scalability, and regulatory requirements. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time seconded to a leading bank; - Platform Transformation & Modernization Define and execute the infrastructure and platform transformation roadmap, covering virtualization, compute, storage, identity, collaboration, and end-user platforms; Lead modernization initiatives such as platform standardization, consolidation, automation, and lifecycle management; Drive adoption of cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures, ensuring readiness, governance, and integration with on‑premises platforms; Identify technical debt and lead remediation plans to improve platform resilience, performance, and cost efficiency; - Core Platform Services Oversight Provide overall governance and technical direction for server, virtualization, and storage platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance; Oversee enterprise virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V, Sangfor) and capacity planning aligned with business growth; Ensure enterprise storage platforms support data protection, replication, and disaster recovery objectives; Act as escalation point for complex platform issues, ensuring effective root cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions; - Digital Workplace & Identity Platforms Oversee the evolution of identity and collaboration platforms, including Active Directory, Exchange (on‑prem / hybrid), and Microsoft 365; Lead and hands-on transformation initiatives for end‑user computing platforms such as VDI, remote access, and secure workforce enablement; Govern mobility and endpoint management platforms (MDM/MAM), ensuring security, compliance, and user experience; - Project Delivery & Change Enablement Lead and hands-on complex, cross‑platform transformation projects, including upgrades, migrations, platform refreshes, and technology rollouts; Ensure project delivery aligns with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements; Enforce disciplined change, incident, and problem management practices across transformed platforms. Collaborate closely with architecture, security, application, and operations teams to ensure end‑to‑end delivery success; - Governance, Risk & Vendor Management Ensure all platforms comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements; Partner with information security teams to embed security‑by‑design and zero‑trust principles into platform architecture; Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance related to platform technologies; Provide clear status reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 5.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 5.0 Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; - Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or technology transformation roles; - Strong background in enterprise infrastructure platforms, with hands‑on exposure to modernization or transformation initiatives; - Proven experience leading cross‑team projects and engaging stakeholders at different seniority levels; - Industry certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Cloud (Azure/AWS), ITIL, or PMP are highly desirable; - Platform Architecture & Transformation: Strong understanding of modern infrastructure architectures, hybrid cloud, and platform lifecycle management; - Infrastructure & Digital Workplace Expertise: Solid knowledge of compute, storage, virtualization, identity, collaboration, VDI, and endpoint platforms; - Security & Compliance Awareness: Experience operating platforms in a regulated environment with strong security and audit requirements; - Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into platform roadmaps and transformation initiatives; - Leadership & Communication: Strong stakeholder management, documentation, and presentation skills for management and governance forums; - Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, cross‑platform issues.
