Job Key No 39045 Job Title/ Category Contract Analyst Programmer (Bid Ref 59510-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 04 May 2026 Contract Period 01 Jun 2026 to 31 Jan 2027 (8 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Wanchai Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) "Wi-Fi Connected City Programme" - Provision of public Wi-Fi services in the public areas Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO; i) To assist the project manager and contract systems analysts to liaise with contractors/service providers to implement public Wi-Fi services at rural areas, and other Wi-Fi services under Government-funded and public-private collaboration (PPC) arrangement. ii) To assist the assessment of rural areas including village offices, public toilets and piers on the feasibility and the cost-effectiveness of providing public Wi-Fi services. iii) To assist to liaise and negotiate on public Wi-Fi implementation matters with venue owners including village representatives / residents. iv) To assist in conducting venue inspections, including assessment on power supply, area of coverage, access points to PTNs and cabling works, in particular for rural areas. v) To assist in verifying the deployed Wi-Fi services against the listed requirements to ensure the proper implementation of the Wi-Fi services. vi) To pay visits to various government venues and rural areas to assist to liaise with relevant stakeholders in gathering service requirements, reviewing and approving the technical proposals for Wi-Fi installation. vii) To assist in handling and maintaining record of enquiries from the public regarding the Government-funded and PPC public Wi-Fi services. viii) To assist in the on-going operation of the Government-funded and PPC Wi-Fi services including the monitoring of the availability and performance of the services, etc. ix) To assist in providing relevant information and input for the promotion of the Wi-Fi.HK brand. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 3.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements i) At least 3 years' hands-on experience in telecommunication technology and at least 3 years' hands-on experience in various aspects of Wi-Fi services implementation, such as venue inspection and assessment for public Wi-Fi services provision, Wi-Fi network system design, technical proposal review and service acceptance, etc. ii) Has exposure in Wi-Fi hardware, software and testing equipment. iii) At least 3 years' experience in site preparation, including the experience of verifying / designing of trunking & cabling system, power points, etc. iv) Hands-on experience on site preparation in government venues, rural areas including village offices, public toilets and piers, etc. is desirable. v) Has knowledge of access / lead-in to structures such as village houses, public toilets and piers. vi) Knowledge of deploying solar power supply is desirable. vii) Work experience in the Government is desirable. viii) Highly desirable to familiar with the government procedures and code of practices for setting up public Wi-Fi and for provision of access facilities in building for the supply of telecommunications and broadcasting services in public streets and government lands/premises. ix) Has experience in Project Coordination and/or Negotiation (optional). Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Wireless Technology (WLT); . At least 2 years' experience in Network Design (NDN); . At least 2 years' experience in Wide Area Network (WAN); . 1 year's experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Networking (NET) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in site preparation (SPE); . Good coordination skills is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in negotiation (NEG) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
