Develop, update, enhance and maintain website(s) and relevant database(s); b. Develop and manage a database with documents and data collected from schools in Hong Kong, as well as to assist in relevant data analytics; c. Design, update and enhance promotional materials and publish them on websites; and d. Provide on-site technical support to departmental staff. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the EDB; a. To develop, update, enhance and maintain website(s) and relevant database(s); b. To set up and manage the electronic records of the Section, including document and data collected from schools, and prepared various statistical reports; c. To design, update and enhance promotional materials and publish them on websites; d. To assist in photo and video taking and editing for the Section; e. To provide daily support services including enhancement, contents update and bugs fix/mitigating for the websites and mobile app and to plan, co-ordinate, implement and manage vendors/HKEdCity on various IT projects and activities of the Section; f. To control or operate network, computer and associated equipment/facilities according to prescribed standards and procedures, monitor their performance and perform routine operator maintenance; g. To set up workstation or networked equipment, scheduling and monitoring computer equipment installation/relocation and perform site preparation work; h. To update and maintain inventory records of computer hardware, perform physical checks and assist in their procurement including handling of quotations and collection/handling of disposal equipment, and provide professional advice on software product evaluation; i. To assist in the Security Risk Assessment and Audit, tackling IT security issues and handling IT-related returns; j. To leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve work efficiency, enhance data analysis and support decision-making to meet departmental operational needs; k. To assist in organising seminars and workshops, and providing technical support for officers of the Education Bureau; l. To support ad-hoc duties as required. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 5.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements a. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent; b. At least 5 years' post-qualification experience related to application development/maintenance, of which a minimum of 3 years in education field and/or Government services; c. Good knowledge and programming skills in the latest web technologies, including JavaScript, PHP etc. are required; d. Good knowledge and experience in web/mobile application development are required; e. Good knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PC hardware & software support are required; f. Experience in Linux and knowledge and hands-on experience in databases, including MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server are required; g. Experience in IT procurement is required; h. Good knowledge in using AI tools to automate tasks, analyses data, or streamline workflows are preferred; i. Experience in developing VBA macro tools is preferred; and j. Knowledge and hands-on experience in Java or Python web application development are preferred. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Apache Web Server (AWS); .
