Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) There are 24 Sub-systems in the Fourth Generation Mobilising System (&;#8220;4GMS&;#8221;) with related systems being grouped into three categories of which their design and development are under the supervision of respective Technical Managers. In order to support the efficient mobilizing and real-time communication, the Telecommunications Network (&;#8220;TN&;#8221;), being one of the major subsystems of the 4GMS, was designed to provide network connection between Fire Services Communication Centres (&;#8220;FSCC&;#8221;), Disaster Recovery (&;#8220;DR&;#8221;) Site, High Command (&;#8220;HiCom&;#8221;) Offices, FS vehicles, Fire Stations, Ambulance Depots, other Government Department and interfacing parties. In this connection, separate contracts were awarded to network service providers for mobile network services and fixed network services to support the operations. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the FSD; The CSSA will facilitate the following duties of the 4GMS implementation for the Fire Services Department (FSD): (i) To assist and offer advice on the overall implementation of Telecommunications Network (&;#8220;TN&;#8221;) for the 4GMS; (ii) To act as the technical coordinator between the contractor of 4GMS and the service providers of TN; (iii) To cooperate with other Government Departments and external interfacing systems for the TN connectivity; (iv) To keep track and review the network security of 4GMS; (v) To evaluate and maintain the healthiness and performance of TN; (vi) To carry out investigation and analysis in case of connection failure of TN; (vii) To perform tasks related to project management and contract administration; and (viii) To undertake any other duties as assigned. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 2.0 Requirements (i) Bachelor&;#8217;s degree awarded by a post-secondary institution in Hong Kong, including but not limited to the eight University Grants Committee funded universities in Hong Kong, or a bachelor&;#8217;s degree awarded by an overseas university or a polytechnic in the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia; or an accredited associate degree or a higher diploma in information technology from a Hong Kong or overseas tertiary education institute. (ii) At least 6 years&;#8217; post-qualification information technology experience of which at least 2 years must be in similar post and in comparable capacity. (iii) At least 1 year working experience in mission critical system preferable. (iv) At least 3 years working experience in Ethernet and networking preferable. (v) At least 3 years working experience in planning and managing network infrastructure preferable. (vi) Good written English & Chinese and fluent spoken English & Chinese. (vii) Security vetting is required. Technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in Network Design (NDN); . At least 2 years' experience in Networking (NET); . At least 2 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . At least 2 years' experience in Metro Ethernet (MET); . At least 2 years' experience in Metro-Ethernet Network (MNE); . At least 1 year's experience in TCP/IP (TCP); . At least 1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS); . At least 6 months' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN); . 1 year's experience in Wide Area Network (WAN) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Mobile / Wireless Communication (MWC) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Infrastructure (INF) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Information Security Management (ISM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT Planning (ITP) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT Security Scanning Tools (SST) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . Good coordination skills is a must; . At least 1 year's experience in project management (PRM); . At least 1 year's experience in site preparation (SPE); . At least 6 months' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS); . At least 6 months' experience in managing Government projects (MGP). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
