The system processes and outputs data in high volume and velocity, and comes in a wide variety and high variability. The project is to develop and integrate a data analytics system for GWIN. The objective of the project is to analyse IoT data and provide integration and visualisation on various digitalisation systems in EMSD, including but not limited to BIM for Asset Management (BIM-AM) and EMSD Asset Management Portal (EAMP). Another objective is to provide a platform for a holistic analysis of GWIN sensor data, which includes the design of sensor data standards and guidelines, data catalogues and data ETL platforms. Such systems would facilitate central data quality and self-serve data analysis usage. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the E&MSD; 1. Feasibility study, user requirement elicitation, system analysis & design, implementation on information systems related to data analytics, data catalogue, data ETL platform, dashboard, report generation and data visualisation. 2. Supervise the Software Development Life Cycle with both the internal development team and external contractors. 3. Take part in hands-on implementation in various development projects and proof-of-concept technical studies. Experiments and studies on various new technologies in different platforms and software stacks. 4. Feasibility study, user requirement elicitation, system analysis & design, IoT data format standard and guideline. 5. Provide advice & assistance to the contractor management process. 6. Revit plug-in Development to assist in adopting the EMSD BIM-AM (Asset Management) Standards and Guidelines. 7. Open BIM viewer development. 8. Server-side Industry Foundation Class (IFC) processing services development for data extraction, IFC model conversion, and lightweight models. 9. To undertake any other duties as required by supervisors. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements 1. Degree or Higher diploma in computer subjects or related disciplines 2. 4 years or above hands-on experience in IT application development, of which 1 year must be in a similar post and a comparable capacity. 3. Solid experience in IT systems design and analysis 4. Solid experience in data analytics systems. 5. Solid experience in IoT-related systems. 6. Solid experience in complex system design. Analysis and design of a system platform to support high loading, configurable, highly flexible, and easy to extend. 7. Solid experience in the adoption of various software design patterns 8. Creative, analytical, self-initiative, responsible and well-organised 9. Good team player and leader, proactive communication with his / her teammates and subordinates Technical Skills: . At least 6 years' experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD); . At least 4 years' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV); . At least 4 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL); . At least 1 year's experience in Document Management System (DMS); . At least 1 year's experience in Geographic Information System (GIS); . 4 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)) (JAF) is an advantage; . 4 years' experience in Web Services (WSV) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in HTML5 (HT5) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in J2EE Development (JDE) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Java Servlet Programming (JSP) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in Object-oriented Analysis and Design (OOA) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM) is an advantage. At least 2 years' experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS); . 1 year's experience in managing Government projects (MGP) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT service/outsourcing management (OUT) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in project management (PRM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in software testing (STM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in vendor management (VMG) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
