(T26) The post is to provide project support and ongoing support to the network infrastructure of a large scale data network in Hong Kong Police Force. The job nature includes support and administration of LAN/WAN connection, responding to network device or connection failure incident, and providing technical support to users.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF;
The candidate will need to,
(1) provide support to network replacement, implementation and enhancement projects;
(2) support day-to-day 24x7 operation of the Police Data Network and Internet Gateway System;
(3) monitor various network and security systems, including collection and analysis of network traffic, logs and alert messages from systems;
(4) provide support service to IT system project teams and users;
(5) implement changes to the network systems in order to provide high availability network service;
(6) perform other related support and administration duties as required.

| Requirements |
(1) The candidate must be experienced in supporting IP network environment.
(2) Carrying Police provided communication device to perform on-call support duties is required.
(3) Work at irregular hours and on weekends/public holidays are required.
(4) Outdoor working at Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories including Outlying Islands is required.
(5) Experiences and knowledge on remote access systems and VPN, multi-layered and complex LAN, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi system, Internet connection systems and MYSQL or other programmer languages are advantageous.
(6) Qualification of HCNA/CCNA certificate or other Cisco/H3C/Huawei certificates are advantageous.
(7) Security vetting is required.
Technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in Networking (NET);
. At least 2 years' experience in PC LAN Support (PLS);
. At least 2 years' experience in Wireless Technology (WLT);
. At least 1 year's experience in Huawei VRP & Huawei Products (HAU);
. At least 1 year's experience in Router Configuration (ROU);
. At least 1 year's experience in Wide Area Network (WAN).
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 2 years' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
