Job Key No 38801 Job Title/ Category Contract Programmer (Bid Ref 59273-1) Number Of Vacancy 1 Relevant Field Others Nature Contract Deadline 30 Mar 2026 Contract Period 01 May 2026 to 31 Jan 2027 (9 months) Payroll under InfoTech Employer Business Government T26 Contract Location Base Mainly in Kwun Tong, with work in other district offices as needed Work in Guangdong Province N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) Development and maintenance of IT applications in Lands Department Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LandsD; To perform any of the following duties :- (a) system/application design; (b) software development including programming; (c) server administration, including on-premises servers and cloud servers; (d) database administration; (e) conduct unit testing, system integration testing and develop test cases to support user acceptance test; (f) assist in quality assurance and carry out quality control; (g) research on new technologies and software; (h) prepare documentations, diagrams and specifications, etc.; and (i) any other duties assigned by supervisor. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements (a) Holder of a degree awarded by a university in Hong Kong or a degree awarded by an overseas education institution to a Hong Kong resident, or equivalent; (b) The degree shall be related to Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Technology, Geo-informatics, Geomatics Engineering, Geographic Information Science, or equivalent; (c) Working experience or knowledge on application development, implementation or maintenance of IT systems; (d) Knowledge of and experience in handling GIS geospatial data and GIS data modelling will be an advantage; (e) At least 2 years' hands-on programming experience in application development / system maintenance; and (f) Able to work independently and with good communication skills. Technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in Apache Web Server (AWS); . At least 2 years' experience in Java Application Framework (e.g. Struts (Apache)) (JAF); . At least 2 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP); . At least 2 years' experience in JAVA Programming (JAV); . At least 2 years' experience in Oracle RDBMS (ODB); . At least 2 years' experience in PHP programming (PHP); . At least 2 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB); . 2 years' experience in MySQL (MSQ) is an advantage; . 2 years' experience in .Net Development (NDE) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in customer relations (ECR); . At least 2 years' experience in conducting IT training/briefing (ITT); . At least 2 years' experience in quality assurance (QAS); . At least 2 years' experience in software testing (STM); . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); . At least 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS). - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
