Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO; The required staff will take up support duties on implementing relevant projects and other tasks to promote Hong Kong ICT industry, which typically include: - to assist in overseeing overall programme development; - to implement quality procedures and processes for event activities; - to perform technical information research and related planning on event related activities; - to liaise and collaborate with organising partners on event related activities and deliverables; - to support senior Government officials in participating in the events which include preparation of event briefs, visit, background research, logistics arrangement and other related activities; - to coordinate promotion activities, which may include organising exhibitions, virtual events or lining up promotion opportunities with external parties, for promoting the projects; - to analyse, research and compile reports on material to promote Hong Kong ICT industry; - to support other ICT events organised by the Government; and - to perform other duties as requested by supervisor. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 1.0 Requirements The candidate must have at least 4 years working experience in the ICT field, and is expected to possess rich working experience in project and ICT industry event support, liaison and coordination, for instance with ICT industry partners, the Government or non-governmental organisations (NGOs). General understanding of the latest technical solutions in Business Environments, Security, Fintech, Open Data, as well as provisions of Smart City initiatives is a must. The candidate is expected to have experience in supporting events which are preferred to be held in major international convention venues in Hong Kong (e.g. in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre or of similar scale), and experience working in collaboration with the Government. The candidate must have good command of both English and Chinese, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills. Technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT); . At least 1 year's experience in Multimedia (MUL); . At least 1 year's experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10); . At least 1 year's experience in Chinese Processing (CHI); . 1 year's experience in Web Hosting, Design and Maintenance (WED) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT Planning (ITP) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 1 year's experience in event management (EMG); . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); . Excellent written English is a must; . At least 1 year's experience in people management (PMG); . Good Putonghua is a must; . 2 years' experience in managing Government projects (MGP) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
