Project Nature |
(T26) Mobile apps (including mini-program) are becoming a popular medium for accessing online information and services, especially for individuals in need, including persons with disabilities and the elderly. In response, DPO has launched the Digital Accessibility Campaign to facilitate the adoption of accessibility design in mobile apps across both public and private sectors.

Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the DPO;
Provide support to Assistant Systems Manager / Contract Senior Systems Analyst / Contract System Analyst for the following:
1. Support in implementing programmes to promote adoption of accessibility design in mobile apps (including mini-program) of both public and private sectors;
2. Conduct accessibility conformance assessment on mobile apps and assist in following up with relevant parties;
3. Assist in monitoring work on outsourced service contractors, including quality assurance of deliverables (e.g. mobile app accessibility assessment reports) as well as project progress monitoring;
4. Provide technical advice for improving the accessibility of mobile apps;
5. Provide technical advice on Elderly-friendly design on mobile apps;
6. Assist in conducting research and study on the latest development of mobile app accessibility international standards;
7. Assist in organising training workshops and seminar on digital accessibility; and
8. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements |
1. Must have programming experience in Java;
2. Must have experience in Wireless and Mobile;
3. Must have experience in outsourcing management;
4. Preferable to have work experience with/in the Government;
5. Preferable to have experience in Digital Accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0 or above;
6. Preferable to have Helpdesk Call Handling Technique; and
7. Preferable to have moderate exposure in written English.
Technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in JAVA Programming (JAV);
. At least 1 year's experience in Wireless and Mobile (WLM).
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in IT service/outsourcing management (OUT);
. 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) is an advantage;
. 6 months' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT) is an advantage;
. Good written English is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
