A T-contract Analyst Programmer (AP) will be engaged to enhance the scalability and detection efficiency of the operational Seismic Information System through the following tasks: 1. Provide programming and IT support for application/system design, work flow analysis, software development, system integration, product visualization on GIS/web platform as well as software testing, in connection with the expansion of the existing seismic monitoring network; 2. Perform system administration duties, system upgrade, system backup, data archive on the System; 3. Conduct preparatory work to facilitate the conduct of security audit; and 4. Manage software and write documentation. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 5.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information System or related subject; AND Proficient in (i) application development using programming languages on Windows and Unix/Linux based platform; (ii) designing web based/GIS based user interface; (iii) developing database application using SQL languages, (iv) developing web-based application including HTML, JSON and XML. Knowledge in scripting language: Javascript, JQuery, Python, PHP, JSP and unix shell script. Knowledge and experience in processing of earthquake waveform data, setting up virtual machine/docker, VBA and NCL will be an advantage. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL); . At least 3 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS); . At least 3 years' experience in HTML version before HTML5 (HTM); . At least 3 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP); . 1 year's experience in Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SAA) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in UNIX System Administration (UNA) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in XML (XML) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 2.5 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . 1 year's experience in quality assurance (QAS) is an advantage; . 6 months' experience in conducting IT training/briefing (ITT) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
