(T26) To provide implementation support services for the upgrade of Departmental Portal for HKO

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKO;
A CAP is required to perform the following IT tasks:
(i) monitor the performance and review the deliverables of the consultants and contractors for the new Open Source Departmental Portal (OSDP);
(ii) integrate new and existing web applications into new OSDP including implementation of authentication features;
(iii) implement authentication and access control measures in accordance with the new OSDP design and departmental IT policies;
(iv) assist in security risk assessment and audit (SRAA);
(v) support on nursing and performance tuning of the system; and
(vi) prepare documentation and handover operations to HKO permanent staff.

| Requirements |
1. Hands-on experience in web application development using container technology, e.g. Docker.
2. Proficient in Java/Python, PHP and databases.
3. Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux Shell scripting.
4. Hands-on experience in web development using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
5. Experience in version control for managing and sharing team projects.
6. Knowledge and experience in Container Orchestration Platform setup is a plus.
7. Hands-on experience implementing Single sign-on (SSO) authentication for web applications is a plus.
8. Interest in weather forecasting is a plus.
A criminal record check will be required, and the offer is subject to the criminal record check results.
Technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in HTML5 (HT5);
. At least 2 years' experience in JavaScript Programming (JAP);
. At least 2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS);
. At least 2 years' experience in Web Programming (WEB);
. At least 1 year's experience in Structured Query Language (SQL);
. 1 year's experience in Apache Web Server (AWS) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skill:
. At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV).
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
