Provide support for various network infrastructure and security systems in LCSD departmental network with focus on Smart Library System (SLS); and 2. Participate in the implementation of projects/enhancements for various IT systems in network aspects. Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD; 1. To perform network administration and technical support on LAN/WAN environment with specific focus on Metro-Ethernet network, core routers, network switches, firewall appliances and load balancers; 2. To liaise with users and vendors for requirement study, implementation and on-going support activities; 3. To participate in technical specification development and proposal evaluation for new or system revamp projects; 4. To prepare test plan and conduct acceptance test; 5. To install security patches and upgrade on various hardware platforms and software applications; 6. To perform administration tasks and backup job related to various server platforms; 7. To update technical documents and prepare operation manual; and 8. To perform on-call support and other duties as required, and work outside normal working hours if necessary. Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; or an accredited associate degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institute, or a higher diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college, in information technology, or equivalent; 2. At least 3 years of experience in network infrastructure support/ administration; 3. At least 2 years of experience on Cisco / Juniper equipment in the WAN/LAN environment; 4. Sound knowledge in OSPF routing adopted in WAN/LAN environment; 5. Hands on experience in firewall products, such as Cisco Firepower, Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls; 6. Knowledge in Network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWind, Cacti, WhatsUp Gold, Splunk, is preferred; 7. Possession of certifications of CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent is preferred; 8. Independent, proactive and able to work under pressure; 9. Strong communication skills; and 10. Proficient in both spoken and written English and Cantonese. Technical Skills: . At least 3 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF); . At least 2 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP); . At least 2 years' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW); . At least 1 year's experience in Open Shortest Path First (OPF); . 1 year's experience in Network & System Management (NSM) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV); . 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage; . Good written English is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
