(T26) 1. Provide support for implementation of the upgrade and enhancement projects for OA Network and participate in network support tasks and other project activities.

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD;
1. To provide technical support on WAN/LAN environment with specific focus on Metro-Ethernet network, core routers, network switches and firewall appliances;
2. To liaise with users and vendors for requirement study, implementation and on-going support activities;
3. To participate in technical specification development and proposal evaluation for new projects / enhancements;
4. To prepare test plan and conduct acceptance test;
5. To install security patches and upgrade on various hardware platforms and software applications;
6. To perform administration tasks and backup job related to various network and server platforms;
7. To update technical documents and prepare operation manual; and
8. To perform on-call support and other duties as required, and work outside normal working hours if necessary.

| Requirements |
1. At least 1 year of experience in network infrastructure support/ administration and configuration in the WAN/LAN environment;
2. Basic knowledge in dynamic routing adopted in WAN/LAN environment;
3. Hands on experience in firewall products;
4. Knowledge in Network monitoring and management tools is preferred;
5. Possession of certifications of CCNA or similar qualification is preferred;
6. Experience in supporting Government IT Systems and Services is preferred;
7. Independent, proactive and able to work under pressure;
8. Good communication skills; and
9. Proficient in both spoken and written Cantonese; good in written English
Technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW);
. At least 2 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU);
. At least 2 years' experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS);
. 1 year's experience in Wide Area Network (WAN) is an advantage;
. 1 year's experience in Network & System Management (NSM) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage;
. Good written English is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
