(T26) To provide general support to various network services, for maintaining a reliable and secure ICT infrastructure to support the non-stop IT application platform of LCSD for serving both the community and internal office operations with respect to the increasing network loading and IT security challenges

| Duties |
- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD;
1. To examine the current configuration for each router and propose the improvement work;
2. To coordinate site works with all related parties including, but not limit to, hardware vendors and venue users;
3. To be responsible in reconfiguring routers, switches and all other accessories in order to resume service after replacement work;
4. To assist in the troubleshooting and support for the Mobile Network and ISP related Network;
5. To provide general network support;
6. To coordinate any replacement work/project related to the system;
7. To assist in PC/server/network hardware installation and configuration works, e.g. LAN/WAN/VPN equipment installation/ reconfiguration and infrastructure service setup;
8. To provide general support service to LCSD staff as required for various network services;
9. To provide proactive monitoring and conduct preventive measures to address any security vulnerabilities of infrastructure service.
10. To configure new hardware and software;
11. To assist in IT equipment inventory transfer;
12. To assist in IT equipment procurement;
13. To maintain the network information of each venue; and
14. To perform on-call support and other duties as required, and work outside normal working hours if necessary.

| Requirements |
1. At least 3 years of work experience in the role of Network / System Engineer;
2. At least 3 years of hands-on experience on network equipment setup including Cisco routers, switches;
3. Familiar with Microsoft products, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, TCP/IP networking, and network device configuration;
4. Hands-on experience on project coordination;
5. Hands-on experience on-site inspection for network setup;
6. Hands-on experience on cabling management;
7. Hands-on experience and knowledge on firewall configuration is preferable;
8. Hands-on experience on Ruijie and H3C routers and switches is preferable; and
9. Holder of CCNA or equivalent is preferred.
Technical Skills:
. At least 3 years' experience in Broadband Network (BNE);
. At least 3 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP);
. At least 3 years' experience in Networking (NET);
. At least 1 year's experience in Ethernet (ETH);
. 1 year's experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. 1 year's experience in the management and support of Government systems and services (GSS) is an advantage.
- At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent;
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 5 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
