Project Nature (T26) To support LCSD's PC Helpdesk and implementation of OA related IT projects
Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD;
- Perform general helpdesk duties
- Participate into GOA (Government Office Automation) related IT project rollout planning/ implementation including user and appoint coordination, primary support of deployment incidents, onsite troubleshooting, problem management and escalation,..etc
- Lead/ guide/ monitor IT Assistants on daily PC Helpdesk operations
- Coordinate with IT users/ contractors on various on-site IT related activities like hardware replacement/ upgrade, software upgrade/ recovery, etc
- Provide support to IT users in using various IT applications, remote email access and mobile devices such as laptop, tablet and smartphone
- Perform other ad-hoc duties or field support to IT users, if required
- Provide on-site troubleshooting/ support for IT users located in LCSD offices
- Participate in the rollout of Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP) in LCSD
- Provide ad-hoc/ on-call support for urgent incidents and support activities during non-office hours may be required
- Undertake any duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements - Diploma or above in IT related subject
- With at least 2 years post-qualification IT experience in the role of Senior IT Assistant
- With at least 3 years solid experience in supporting PC Clients running on Microsoft platform and Internet applications
- With at least 2 years solid experience in supporting Lotus Notes/ Email applications
- With at least 2 years solid work experience in supporting client rollout, planning and on-site troubleshooting
- With at least 2 years solid experience in PC Helpdesk operations
- Familiar with Microsoft products, Lotus Notes Email System and desktop management software (e.g. Symantec Altiris, BMC Remedy or IBM BigFix, &;#8230; etc)
- Good communication skills, mature, self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Cantonese
- Holder of Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP) service rollout is preferred
Technical Skills:
. At least 3 years' experience in Confidential Mail System (CMS);
. At least 3 years' experience in Lotus Notes Mail Admin. & Technical Support (LNM);
. At least 3 years' experience in Office Automation (OAN);
. At least 3 years' experience in PC LAN Support (PLS);
. 1 year's experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT) is an advantage.
Non-technical Skills:
. At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
. At least 2 years' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT);
. Good coordination skills is a must.

- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 5 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
