Implementation of the Smart Library System / projects under the Hong Kong Public Libraries 2. Provision of ongoing support for various systems under the Hong Kong Public Libraries Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD; 1. Communicate / liaise with different project stakeholders for the setup and maintenance of a new one-stop web portal "Smart Library Portal" to keep internal staff abreast of the latest development of the Smart Library Project 2. Provide support to project development and system implementation, including programming, system testing, co-ordinating UAT, system installation and configuration for system rollout, managing the performance of the outsourcing contractors and reviewing contractors' work. 3. Provide on-going support to/maintenance of the existing systems, including programming, performing SIT, UAT, bug-fixing, fire-fighting and responding to users' enquiries. 4. Carrying out other duties assigned by senior officers. 5. Ad hoc support during non-office hour and mobile/pager holding may be necessary. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 4.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 2.0 Requirements 1. Degree in Computer Science / Computer Studies, or equivalent; 2. Solid experience in system /application development and maintenance of web-based application; 3. Solid experience in working with outsourced contractors for system development and/or support; 4. Experience with the following skill-set is preferred : - Java EE programming in the Spring Framework; - Relational Databases, MySQL; 5. Good skill in project coordination, with a minimum of 1 years working experience in coordinating projects with multiple user parties; 6. Working experience with the Government is preferred; 7. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and 8. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Technical Skills: . At least 4 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM); . At least 4 years' experience in Network & System Management (NSM); . 2 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM) is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in Visual Studio. Net (VSN) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills: . Good coordination skills is a must; . At least 2 years' experience in IT service/outsourcing management (OUT); . At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); . Good written English is an advantage; . 1 year's experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
